Repair shop management
KFix
A system for running a repair shop. It keeps device and customer details, assessment and estimate, approvals, repair, parts and labor, inventory, warranty, payment and delivery in one connected record.
What it is
KFix follows a device from the moment it comes into the shop until it goes back to its owner. Every stage is recorded in one place: who took it in, what was found, the estimate, whether the customer approved it, which parts went in, and what was paid.
The record doesn’t end at delivery. The device’s history stays available if it comes back.
Where the details get lost
In a busy repair shop, the work easily spreads across several places: an intake slip, a chat with the customer to get approval, a notebook for parts, and the technician’s memory of what happened last time.
The cost shows up later. A device comes back weeks on, and it is hard to tell what was fixed, which part was fitted, whether it is still under warranty, or who approved the price.
One record for the device’s whole journey
Every device moves through the same stages in order. Whatever a stage needs — stock, a receipt, a warranty — is linked to that stage directly.

What the system covers
- Bilingual workflow
- Interface and workflow in Arabic and English.
- Roles and permissions
- Clear limits on what each role in the shop can see and change.
- Parts, labor and inventory
- Estimates combine parts and labor; parts come from the shop’s inventory.
- Payments and receipts
- Recording payments and printing receipts.
- Preserved history
- The device and its work history stay on record for return visits and warranty checks.
Key design and engineering decisions
- A customer’s device is not inventory
- A customer’s device comes in for repair and goes back to its owner. Serialized devices and parts the shop owns are inventory to be tracked. KFix treats them as two different things.
- Warranty as a snapshot at delivery
- The idea is to keep the warranty as it stood at delivery, so it stays a fixed reference for that device.
- Approval is a step in the record
- The customer’s approval of the estimate is recorded between estimate and repair, instead of living in a chat that is hard to find later.
- Both languages from the start
- Arabic and English are part of the workflow itself, not a translation added at the end.
Current status
KFix is a product built by Kavox. This page describes its scope and the decisions behind it, nothing more. If you run a repair shop or a process like it, we can walk you through the workflow in a conversation.
